I grew up in Altus, Oklahoma and graduated from Altus High School in 1993.

I received my Associate Degree in Arts and Sciences from Western Oklahoma State College (Altus, Oklahoma) in 1995.

I earned my Bachelor Degree in Music Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (Weatherford, Oklahoma) in 1999. While at SWOSU I was a member of 2 music fraternities - Kappa Kappa Psi (1996-1999) and Phi Mu Alpha (1997-1999). I served as my Kappa Kappa Psi chapter's President for 2 years (1997-1999).

I am beginning my 13th year of school teaching. My 1st year (1999-2000) was with Mountain View-Gotebo Public Schools in Oklahoma.

My next 4 years (2000-2004) was with the Cache Public School System in Cache, Oklahoma.

The following year (2004-2005) was spent with the Mangum Public School District in Mangum, Oklahoma.

From there I came south of the Red River to the Vernon Independent School District where I have been from 2005 to Present.

I have been married since August '06 and my wife and I have lived in Vernon since June '08. We attend and have been members of the Western Trail Cowboy Church in Lockett since July '08. We have no children of our own, but we do have a fish (Norman), 2 chickens (Crimson and Cream), 3 dogs (Boomer, Sooner and Riley) and 4 cats (Snowball, Mouse, Switzer and Stoops).
