Course Description
This course will build upon the foundation of the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing acquired in Spanish I.  Students will acquire additional skills in expressing personal and biographical information and in giving detailed information about activities, hobbies, family, and friends. Students will acquire sufficient cultural awareness to be comfortable in typical exchanges with native speakers. The purchase of a dictionary / verb book is recommended for this course. A grade of 80 or higher is recommended to proceed to the next level.
Classroom Behavior

  • Be on time and have homework out when bell rings. 

  • Bring needed supplies to class.  If you need to go back to your locker to get your textbook, workbook, or homework, you will be required to get a tardy slip or attend after school detention.

  •  Food and drinks will NOT be allowed in the classroom.  You will be allowed to have water.

  •  Respect yourself and others.

  •  Participate actively.

  •  Turn in assignments in a timely manner.  Make up work is due a day after you return to class.  It is your responsibility to obtain any make-up work from me.

  • Make arrangements with me for any make-up exams.
Grading Procedures
Daily Work/Participation: 20%

Orals and quizzes 30%

Exams: 50%

 Any test grade below a 70 may be reataken for a maximum grade of 70. This must be done in a timely manner!
