Algebra 1
Algebra 1 continues the study of algebraic concepts. It includes operations with polynomials and matrices, creation and application of linear functions and relations, algebraic representations of geometric relationships, and an introduction to nonlinear functions. Students will be expected to describe and translate among graphic, algebraic, numeric, tabular, and verbal representations of relations and use those representations to solve problems.
Advance Quantitative Reasoning
The primary focal points of Advance Quantitative Reasoning include the analysis of information using statistical methods and probability, modeling change and mathematical relationships, mathematical reasoning in finance and society, and spatial and geometric modeling for decision making. In Advance Quantitative Reasoning, students will learn to become critical consumers of the quantitative data that surround them every day, knowledgeable decision makers who use logical reasoning, and mathematical thinkers who can use their quantitative skills to solve problems related to a wide range of situations.
Geometry
The study of geometry encompasses its close relationship with algebra by using coordinate and algebraic means to verify the synthetic representations. Geometry offers a means of describing, analyzing, and understanding the world.  Students will develop facility with a broad range of representing geometric ideas - including coordinates, networks, transformations, vectors, and matrices - that allow multiple approaches to geometric problems and that connect geometric interpretations to other contexts.
