Hi! I'm going to tell you a little bit about me so you will know me better. I have been teaching school for 22 years. I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade but my favorite grade of all is kindergarten!
I have lived in Vernon for almost all of my life and graduated from Vernon High School. I left our little town to go to college and I graduated from Arizona State University.
I have three beautiful children. Grady is in Heaven, but you might get to meet my other two children! Steven is now going to school at Hardin Simmons University and he is playing tennis for the HSU tennis team. Steven won the state championship playing tennis in high school! Lauren is in eighth grade. She is playing volleyball, basketball, and tennis this year. She loves being in the band and plays the saxophone. She is also in Camp Fire.
My family lives on a farm and LOVEs animals! Any animals and all animals! I have a pet cow, three horses, ducks, chickens, dogs, cats, donkeys and two little sugar gliders. Some of my animals will make a school visit this year! I also have two pet turtles that like to stay at school and hang out with my students!
I love children and I love teaching! Your child will not only learn the school subjects this year, he/she will also learn that school is a safe fun place to meet friends. My #1 goal is to have each child in my room have a wonderful year and to love going to school!
