Welcome to Kindergarten!! |
Hi Parents,
It was so nice to see so many of you at Meet the Teacher! It looks like we have a darling kindergarten class! So far we have 20 kids!
Here are some things that you can do to make the first six weeks a success for your child.
1. Make sure that your child knows how he/she will get home everyday.
2. Everyday check your child's backpack to give them praise on their daily work.
3. Sign your child's Tuesday Folder and return it to school on Wed.
4. Be positive and happy when you tell them good-bye in the morning.
5. Remind them that you love them!
The afternoon bell rings at 2:55. The kindergarten children are picked up in the north parking lot (across from the church). We will walk them to your car.
This six weeks we will be working on writing our name, counting, learning nursery rhymes, fairy tales, colors, and learning how to follow school rules.
The single most important thing that you can do to help your child in kindergarten is to read with them every day!! It shows them reading is important, makes them want to read, shows them how to read with expression, and lets you spend unforgettable quality time with your darling child!
