It is hard to believe how quickly the 3rd six weeks went by. I sincerely appreciate all of the parent contacts this six weeks,and I firmly believe that as a team we CAN and WILL make this a successful,enriching time for your child! It is a great way to keep posted on any homework assignments, Accelerated Reading,Accelerated Math,or any other questions which might arise concerning your child's progress.

In Social Studies,we will explore life in Texas during the Civil War and Reconstruction,with an emphasis on the social,economic,and political effects on Texans.

In Science,we are continuing to work with understanding the importance of the safety rules in the Science Lab, and to familiarize students with the various instruments we will use throughout the school year. We are investigating the different tools used to measure weather,as well as the water cycle,phases of the moon,and the importance of the ocean tides. This unit will include various activities and experiments which will incorporate measurement and critical thinking in the classroom.
