Vernon College is conveniently located right here in Vernon, TX, and in Wichita Falls at Century City and Sheppard AFB.

VC will host their orientation exclusively for Senior students on Tuesday, December 13 at 12 PM. Students interested in attending VC in the spring, fall or summer, 2012, sessions are encouraged to attend this orientation.

College Readiness Testing
The state of Texas requires all students to be "college ready" in reading, writing, and math. You may have to take a placement test to determine your College Readiness status. Placement tests are offered at the Vernon College Testing Center on both the Vernon and Century City campuses
Contact the testing center at 940 552-6291 ext 2317 to set an appointment to take the ACCUPLACER - a computer-based test. The cost of the ACCUPLACER is $29 or $10 per section.

MIDWESTERN STATE UNIVERSITY
MSU is located in Wichita Falls, TX only 50 miles from Vernon.

For admission, students must
graduate on recommended plan or distinguished plan/or Satisfy the College Readiness Benchmarks on the SAT (1500 out of 2400) or ACT assessment (English: 18, Reading: 22, Math: 24, Science: 24)

Students entering with dual credit hours must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
College transcript must be sent in addition to high school transcript

MSU also requires
Top 10 % Automatic Admission
Next 40% ACT: 21 SAT: 990
Third quart. ACT: 23 SAT: 1070
Fourth quart.ACT: 24 SAT: 1110

Students who do not meet the admission requirements will go through an individual review process

TARLETON STATE UNIVERSITY
Tarleton State University is part of the Texas A&M University System and is located in Stephenville, TX. The campuses serve approximately 9,340 students.

TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY
Texas A & M invites prospective students and their families to their premier recruitment event: Aggiland Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Aggieland Satruday is an annual campus-wide open house. Visitors can participate in group sessions about admission, scholarships, and financial aid. Academic departments, colleges and student services will also provide informationa dn host activities. Participants will also tour the campus and residence halls and see all that Texas A&M has to offer.
