VISD Flex Day is Friday, February 24. Students who passed TAKS last year, who are passing all classes and have passed all Benchmark tests this year qualify for a day off on Friday, February 24.
Students required to attend flex day due to TAKS not passed, failing grades or low Benchmark scores must attend school. If required students do not attend, they will receive an unexcused absence and parents are subject to citation. Absent students also risk losing credit for courses if they fail to attend on flex day (subject to attendance committee review).
