Ninth Grade Orientation |
Incoming 9th Graders will get the opportunity to pick up thier schedules, meet the office staff, get the grand tour of ol' VHS, and lots of other great things. Orientation will be on Friday, August the 13th, at 10:00am sharp in the High School cafeteria. Plan on being there and having a great time! |

Changes to the Handbook You Need to Know |
The 2010-2011 school year will bring about some changes to our current Student Handbook. Here are the major changes that will affect our students beginning on the first day of school:
1. Cell Phone Contract- this contract explains to our students that phones are to be "off" and out of sight during school hours. It also explains the potential consequences if a student refuses to give up their phone to school personnel.
2. "24 Hour" rule- When a student is absent from school, they have 24 hours, upon arrival back to school, to provide their documentation excusing the absence.
3. Males will tuck their shirts in and wear a belt.
4. Updating of the new graduation reguirements for incoming 9th graders. I hope that both parents and students take the time to read the 2010-11 Student Handbook and to become familiar with it. As always, if you have any questions concerning the handbook or anything else that involves school, call or come by and visit us. |

Schedule Pick-Up/Access |
Here is something new for all of us this year. Instead of waiting in line to pick-up your schedule we have made a change that will make things a little easier. On Friday, August 13th, we will release your schedule on-line via Skyward Student/Parent Access at 1:00pm. If you do not have access to Skyward, you can still pick-up a paper copy of your schedule starting at 8:00am on Monday, the 16th of August. |
